What is a therian?

A therian is a person who has a deep conection with an animal. The connection is so deep that people feel that they are that creature/animal. People with these connections are often described as having personality conflicts.The conflicts are apart of a personality trait. The traits are so strong people feel that they are shape shifting. Shapeshifting can be spiritual or it can be physical in the since of people having an reaction to there animal like spiritualality.Therians have been around for over a hundred years. There is many definitions of a therian. Psychologist and other doctors have there own theorys, but we the Nightdogs follow our own legends and facts.

Nightdogs -aka.(Dogs of Night)

Nightdogs are a group of therians who identify with wolf/K9 animals. The name comes from an ancient tribe that worshiped the dogs of night. There is numerous groups/cultures who associate them selfs with dogs of night. The oldest confirmed legend originates from Africa. Many legends have been around for 100 years.

Nightdogs originated over 120 years ago out of primitive Africa.

The modern group association is a diverse group which holds a large majority of Therians.The Therians range from domesticated house pets to exoctic animals.The modern group also allows insect therians,aquatic ,mystical and reptile therians associate in the Nature circle.

Nightdogs are secretive people.

Majority of Nightdogs are followers of the Crito life style.

Nightdogs community members have an association world wide. The oldest associate member resides in Europe.

Many members and followers are born in to the group.These members are known as Pure Bloods.

There is several communities related to therian culture.Some are educational,some may host role playing,some may even offer a safe haven to those of a more serious nature.

Most people are born as Therians.The age of maturity usually occurs at age 7 and progressess on in the pubecent life.Therians as childrens are usually animal friendly. With in the pre teen years Therians are out cast, or lonners. Some may become with drawn from the norms of society. But these signs vary upon diffrent Therian types.
